Eric Greenberg, DO, FACC is a highly regarded clinical cardiologist and the Director of Cardiovascular Medicine at Ascension Macomb-Oakland Hospital, Oakland Campus. He previously served as Director of the Heart Failure Program at the hospital until 2013, where he led initiatives aimed at improving patient outcomes and reducing hospital readmissions.

Dr. Greenberg began his academic journey at the University of Michigan, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 2004. He then went on to receive his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2008. Dr. Greenberg completed both his Internal Medicine residency and Cardiovascular Medicine fellowship at Botsford Hospital (now Corewell Health Farmington), where he also served as Chief Cardiology Fellow from 2013-2014. His leadership skills and clinical acumen were further honed during this time, preparing him for a successful career in cardiovascular medicine.

Dr. Greenberg’s clinical expertise includes the management of heart failure, coronary artery disease, and arrhythmias, as well as preventive cardiology. He is passionate about educating his patients on lifestyle modifications and risk factor management to prevent cardiovascular events. His clinical interests also include advanced imaging techniques and non-invasive diagnostics to assess cardiac function and guide treatment decisions.

Outside of his professional responsibilities, Dr. Greenberg is dedicated to Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, where he is continually working toward earning his next belt. He also enjoys making pizza in his backyard oven, a hobby he shares with his family, and he cherishes spending quality time with his wife and two daughters, who are also passionate about healthcare.
