Justin E. Trivax, MD, MPH, FACC, FSCAI, FSVM is a distinguished interventional cardiologist and clinical assistant professor at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. He also serves as an assistant professor at Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

Dr. Trivax earned his undergraduate degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 1999 and his medical degree from Wayne State University School of Medicine in 2003. He completed his residency in Internal Medicine at William Beaumont Hospital, where he further distinguished himself as Chief Resident in 2006-2007. He continued his advanced training at Beaumont, completing fellowships in Cardiovascular Medicine (2007-2010) and Interventional Cardiology (2010-2011). In 2022, Dr. Trivax further expanded his expertise by obtaining a Master of Public Health degree from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.

A leading expert in interventional cardiology, Dr. Trivax specializes in complex coronary interventions, particularly in the management of acute coronary syndromes and advanced coronary artery disease. He has notable expertise in performing percutaneous coronary interventions (PCI) for chronic total occlusions (CTO). His research interests include the cardiovascular effects of prolonged, strenuous exercise, and he has published several papers in this area. Dr. Trivax's clinical practice encompasses comprehensive cardiovascular care, including risk factor modification, primary prevention, chronic coronary artery disease, heart failure, peripheral arterial disease, and venous disease.

Beyond his professional commitments, Dr. Trivax is dedicated to personal fitness, beginning each day with a visit to the gym. He enjoys weightlifting and maintaining an active lifestyle. Outside of work, he loves traveling with his wife and two daughters and cheering for Michigan Football and Detroit sports.
